Coro Giovanile "Effetti Sonori"

The Youth Choir "Effetti Sonori" was founded in December 2011 in Foiano della Chiana (Arezzo). Every October, they organize the International Youth Choir Festival “Gaudeamus igitur", which has reached its fifth edition, and every February the musical cabaret show "Humor Bizzarro" within the celebrations of the carnival of Foiano della Chiana. They participated as a laboratory choir at the School for choir directors of the Fondazione Guido d'Arezzo, where they were able to work with teachers Luigi Leo, Basilio Astulez and Matteo Valbusa. They were invited to participate in several festivals including the XXXIII International Festival of Polyphonic Music Voices of Europe (Porto Torres 2016), Voce al domani (Fano 2017), XX Review for youth and school choirs (Trieste and Gorizia 2018), Spring Festival (Montecatini Terme 2019). They also participated in the concert season Echoes - The Swan Song (Arezzo 2017), Guidoneum Festival (Arezzo 2017, 2020) and are still collaborating with the instrumental ensemble Anonima Frottolisti of Assisi for the re-enactment of the music associated with the battle of Scannagallo, or battle of Marciano within the Festival of ancient music "Suoni dalla torre". The choir performed the first performance of works like "Accenna il cuore" (Riccardo Schioppa, 2017), "Bacco e Arianna" (Marco Ferretti, 2018) and "Manum meam" (Lorenzo Donati, 2021). They partecipated in many competitions and won prizes ("Riviera Etrusca" in Piombino, 1st prize; "Nuove voci per Guido" in Arezzo, 2nd prize and prize for best director; National Polyphonic Competition Guido D'Arezzo, 1st Prize in the mixed choirs category; International Polyphonic Competition Guido d'Arezzo, 3rd Prize in the Sacred Music category). It has been directed since its foundation by Maestro Elisa Pasquini.

Elisa Pasquini

Pianist, soprano and choir director. She graduated in piano with the highest marks under the guidance of Maestro Marco Albrizio at the Perugia Conservatory, winning the "Marcello Cricchi" award in 2009. She then perfected her skills with maestros L Tanganelli, F. Bidini, F. Ferrati, W. Fischetti and studied as a Collaborating Maestro at the “D.Cimarosa" Academy in Tuoro. She graduated in Choir Direction at the Higher School for choir directors of the Fondazione Guido d'Arezzo, where she subsequently taught complementary piano, ear training and basic technique. She then perfected her skills at the European Academy for choral conductors and the Chigiana Musical Academy respectively with R. Rasmussen and L Donati. She is a chorister and collaborator of the Vocal Ensemble Vox Cordis, Ul Vocal Ensemble Consonante, Chigi Saracini Cathedral Choir, Anonima Frottolisti, luscae Voces with whom she has recorded for lactus and Amadeus. She graduated in singing at the fiesole conservatory (CaMu Arezzo) under the guidance of Maestro Silvia Vajente. She is the artistic director of the Effetti Sonori Association of Foiano della Chiana where she teaches piano and directs choral realities with which she has won various awards in national competitions. Initially a chorister, she is currently the selected director through a call for the Tuscan Youth Choir for the three-year period 2020/2023. She is a teacher at the Italian Choral Academy and teaches dance accompaniment techniques at the Coreutic High School in Arezzo.
